Overview: Many Samsung devices store a flash counter keeps track of how many times have flashed *custom* firmwares to device. On some devices, a yellow triangle sort of visual warn also displayed dur boot if are runn a *custom* firmware.

TriangleAway was built disable triangle (if a visual warn present) reset custom ROM flash counter to 0. T app requires root !

You find current status of flash counter firmware state (custom official) by boot into “download mode” most devices. The usual way of gett into “download mode” by first turn off device, n turn it by pressing holding volumedown+home+por. Alternatively, “adb reboot download” comm also often works.

When run TriangleAway, if device firmware are supported, it will show detected state of binary (custom official) flash counter value, option to “Reset flash counter”. Please confirm inmation shown correct bee resett values.

On a number of devices, TriangleAway work, b firmware may not be supported directly. In case, app will tell it needs to reboot into a special boot mode, which will be happen if select “Reset flash counter”. The device will reboot into a special mode which will allow to review current status reset binary flash counter values ( abort nothing).

!!! THIS IS A DANGEROUS OPERATION AND COULD POTENTIALLY BRICK YOUR DEVICE. PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK. A USB JIG IS PREFERRED IF YOU HAVE A WORKING ONE !!!

( by brick I mean brick – only a board replacement a JTAG unit will be able to save , don’t mess boot(loader) stuff unless *really* mean it! )

Note#1: using Triangle Away may unmount SD card. Reboot manually remount it from Android setts.

Note#2: SGS3, “stem modified” status only be reset some firmwares.

Wher not Triangle Away works depends largely kernel. Flashing a different kernel may it work if it previously didn’t.

Variants are NOT based Exynos processors b rar Qualcomm Nvidia processors are NOT expected to work. I honestly would NOT try (until furr notice) – examples are Skyrocket AT&T Note.
